JP Loughran pitched a 3-hit shutout to lead the NSLL 12s to the CT District 1 championship with a 5-0 win over Darien American.  Taylor Purpura retired the final three batters to bring this squad their second consecutive district title.

Offensively, Jacob Lewis and Jackson Solis hit home runs and other hits were recorded by Cameron Curto, JP Loughran, Will Herrmann, Cameron Elkins, and Tyler Pingol.  Tim Noone also hit a deep sacrifice fly ball to center field that knocked in a run in the 5th inning. The team now advances to the CT sectional playoffs as the District 1 representatives.  Play begins Thursday at 5:45 in Bridgeport vs. the District 2 Champions.

Tim Noone	Tyler Pingol pitched a 4-inning, 1 hit shutout to lead the NSLL 12s to a 4-inning, 10-0 win over National Lione in the District semi-finals.  The team now faces Darien American for the District 1 crown Saturday, 7/18 at West Beach.  This will be the third year in a row that this North Stamford team has made it to the District 1 final game. Pingol only allowed 4 Lione batters on base and struck out 6.  On offense, North Stamford received production from its entire squad.  Tim Noone belted a key double and knocked in 2 runs during the 6-run 2d inning.  Jacob Lewis hit a double in the 2d inning and added and RBI as well.  Taylor Pupura hit a double in the third inning.  Robert Tusch led off the 4th inning with a solo home run.   Jackson Solis and Tyler Pingol also ripped doubles in the 4th inning to complete the scoring and the game ended under Liitle League's ten-run rule. Cameron Elkins	Behind an 8 strike out, 2 hit pitching effort from JP Loughran, the NSLL 12s defeated Ridgefield American 7-2 in the District quarter-final playoffs.  The team now advances to the semi-final round where they will face National Lione.  The game will be played Wednesday 7/15 at 7:30 at Springdale. Offensively, Cameron Elkins and Jackson Solis hit homers and Tyler Pingol lined a double to pace a 10 hit effort.	JP Loughran

12s go 3-0 with 8-3 win over Springdale

Jackson Solis	Behind impressive pitching from JP Lougran and Tyler Pingol, The NSLL 12s rallied in the 6th inning to best Springdale 8-3. Loughran pitched 4 innings and let up just one run and 2 hits.  He also struck out 9 batters.  Pingol enterd the game in the 5th inning.  He fanned five in his two innings of work.  Springdale touched Pingol for their final two hits of the game but one was a home-run and Springdale went up 3-2 after the 5th inning. North Stamford entered the 5th inning tied 1-1.  A key hit from Will Herrmann drove in Jacob Lewis for a 2-1 lead.  Down 3-2 in the 6th, Jackson Solis and Tyler Pingol hit solo homers to begin a six-run rally. The team now stands 3-0 in Pool Play with two games to go.	JP Loughran

Purpura, Loughran, Elkins lead 12s to 2-0 record

Taylor Purpura pitched a no-hitter and added a 1st inning grand-slam to pace the NSLL 12s to an 11-0 victory over Weston.  JP Loghran hit a 3-run homer in the 3rd inning while Cameron Elkins hit a triple in the 1st and added a 3-run homer to end the game in the 5th.  Tyler Pingol ripped a double to lead-off the 5th inning. In the field, Will Herrmann at 2d base, Jacob Lewis at 3d, Michael Rossi in center, and Tyler Pingol in right each made great plays to back up Purpura's solid

NSLL 12s Win Season Opener 3-1

Tyler Pingol pitched a 1-run, 3-hit complete game and Taylor Purpura belted a sixth inning 2-run homer to lead the North Stamford 12s to a 3-1 win over Darien American in the opening game of the District 1 tourney.  Jacob Lewis singled, then advanced home on Robert Tusch's hit to tie the game 1-1 in the 5th inning.

7/8/08
Billy Murphy had three singles while Andrew Puccella had two doubles and a single to lead North Stamford. Nick Della Jacono had a home run and three singles, while Matt Casino also had three singles.  Billy Murphy pitched five strong innings to get the victory before Ryan Duggan finished up for North Stamford, which finished 4-2 in pool play.

7/6/08
Billy Murphy hit two home runs and two singles to lead North Stamford over Norwalk Babe Spinola, 17-2.

7/2/08
Nick Della Jacono had had a home run, two singles and four RBIs while winning pitcher Ryan Duggan had a homer, two singles and three RBIs to lead North Stamford. Andrew Puccella ripped a two-run home run for the winners.

6/26/08
Billy Murphy struck out seven and allowed just two singles while firing a complete-game shutout in game halted after four innings because of the Mercy Rule to lead North Stamford in the opening game in the round-robin format. Murphy also had one single and walked twice.  Joe Palumbo ripped and Jesse Koretz each doubled.

7/2 vs. Darien National (played at Springdale Field)

North Stamford defeated Darien National by a score of 7-6.  The team was led by a superb pitching performance by Danny O’Leary, who threw for 5 2/3 innings with 5 strikeouts and giving up only 6 hits. Billy Murphy came in to close the game. 

A great hitting performance by the team was led by Billy Murphy, Adam Goldstone and O’Leary each recording home runs, and capped by David DeLeo’s game winning homer in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Darien National had outstanding hitting by Brendan Hathaway who had a single and double and scored 2 runs.  Pete Gesualdi also scored 2 runs.  Their pitching consisted of Tyler LaVecchia pitching 4 innings and striking out 3 North Stamford players and Brendan Hathaway pitching 2 innings with 2 strikeouts.
