Game Summaries

The North Stamford 9-10's ended the Shelton tournament with a 7-4 loss to Ridgefield American. Solid pitching by Peter Horn and Johnny Spoto kept the game close. Luke Dawson, Kevin Stone and Peter Horn had runs batted in for Stamford who finished the post season with a 5-4 record.

The North Stamford 9-10's defeated Trumbull International 11-1 in four innings in their first game of the Shelton tournament. Peter Horn struck out 5 batters and gave up only one hit. The offense was lead by Connor Matheny, Johnny Spoto and Peter Horn with 2 hits a piece, while Kevin Stone, Ryan Carragher, Eddie Meizels and Tim Noone each had one hit a piece.

The North Stamford 9-10's won their fourth straight game defeating Darien National 11-5 behind the solid pitching of Kevin Stone and Luke Dawson. Eddie Meizels, Luke Dawson and Kevin Stone each had 2 hits, while Connor Matheny, Johnny Spoto and Peter Horn each collected one hit in the victory. North Stamford finished 4-2 in the District tournament after losing its first 2 games by a 2-1 score. They will now get ready for the Shelton tournament which starts next week.

The North Stamford 9-10's defeated Ridgefield 6-4, coming back from a 4-1 deficit. Peter Horn pitched 3 2/3 innings and Johnny Spoto came in to shut the door. Johnny pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings to keep N.Stamford in the game. Luke Dawson's 2 run single in the 5th gave N. Stamford the lead for good. Ryan Carragher, Shawn DiPietro, Eddie Meizels and Peter Horn all had key hits. Tim Noone and Connor Matheny played stellar defense to help stop any Ridgefield rally. N. Stamford is now 3-2 and have won 3 in a row.

The North Stamford 9-10's defeated Springdale 14-4 in 5 innings behind the strong pitching of Kevin Stone and Luke Dawson. The offense was lead by Kevin Stone with 3 hits, Connor Matheny with 2 hits. Tim Noone, Luca Pellicano, Shawn DiPietro  and Ryan Carragher each had one hit a piece. John Spoto and Jeremy Benjamin played outstanding defense to help North Stamford even there record at 2 and 2.

The North Stamford 9-10's defeated Norwalks Babe Spinola 13-6 behind a 13 hit attack. Peter Horn lead the way with 4 hits and 4 rbi's, while Justin Chase, Luca Pelicano and Jeremy Benjamin each added rbi hits. Luke Dawson and Kevin Stone played great defense for North Stamford. Peter Horn gave up only 1 unearned run in 3 innings.
